Two Bham executives appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of ATL's Birmingham Branch Board

Two Birmingham executives have been appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's Birmingham Branch Board of Directors.

Nancy C. Goedecke, chairman and chief executive officer of Mayer Electric Supply Co., and Herschell L. Hamilton, managing partner of BLOC Global Group, have been appointed to the board, with their terms beginning Jan 1. 2015 through Dec 31. 2017.

Goedecke served in her most recent position at Mayer Electric Supply Co. since 2008 and has been vice chairman since 2005. Additionally, Goedecke has held various positions with increasing responsibilities since 1985.

Hamilton has been responsible for establishing the strategic direction of BLOC Global Group since 2003. Prior to his work BLOC, Hamilton served as vice president of New Market Ventures for Masada Resource Group LLC (MRG), where he planned and managed capital market activities and the development of new market ventures.

Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta branch directors provide economic information from the branch territory to the district bank's president and head office directors, a release from the firm said, who use the information in discussing monetary policy options and making discount rate recommendations.

Hamilton was appointed by the Atlanta Federal Reserve's Board of Directors and Goedecke was appointed by the Board of Governors. The release said the Board of Governors appoints three of the directors of the Birmingham Branch, and the Atlanta head office directors appoint four.
